Proposed Dues Increase

Dear Byrum Woods Homeowners Association members,

The Board of Directors is proposing an increase in dues from $60 to $90 per household.  This increase is needed to meet our entrance maintenance expenses, rather than for any new projects.

In the past, our neighbor John Scott has generously provided landscaping for our entrances at a far-below-market rate of about $1000 per year.  John has now retired.  Of the bids submitted by contractors for landscaping of our three entrances, we accepted the lowest bid at about $4000 per year.  This is a difference of $3000 per year.

Therefore, $3000 more is needed per year to care for our entrances now that we are paying market-price for the landscaping. That works out to an increase of $30 per home.

If you have any questions, please contact your HOA representative.  This proposed increase will be voted on at the Annual Homeowners Meeting on Tuesday, September 11 at 7 pm at Soapstone Methodist Church.

If you have any questions, please contact your HOA representative.

Sincerely,

Your Byrum Woods Board of Directors

Jane Allen, John Allison, Chad Chapman, Dick Dumas, Jackie Granados, Martin Humpherson
